Per-Series Axis
Per-Series Axis lets you assign an independent Y-axis to each series in a multi-series Cartesian chart. When series have different units or vastly different value scales, one series will no longer dominate the others visually. Configured in the Series Addition step.
Example: Displaying both temperature (°C, range 0–120) and pressure (bar, range 0–10) on the same chart requires separate Y-axes; otherwise the pressure values appear nearly flat.
How to Access
- Navigate to the Series Addition step in the wizard (Step 6 in the Standard Cartesian flow).
- Click on the series you want to assign an independent Y-axis to.
- Enable Enable Per-Series Axis.
- Fill in the Min/Max values and suffix fields.
Parameters
| Field | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Enable Per-Series Axis | Assigns an independent Y-axis on the right side to the selected series. | Off |
| Minimum Value | Lower bound of this axis. Leave empty for auto-calculation. | — |
| Maximum Value | Upper bound of this axis. Leave empty for auto-calculation. | — |
| Suffix | Unit text displayed next to axis labels (e.g. °C, bar, kW). |

Tips
- When per-series axes are assigned, the chart shows separate Y-axes on left and right sides.
- When a series is deleted, its associated axis is removed automatically.
- This feature is only meaningful for multi-series charts; it is unnecessary for single-series charts.
