Excel Sheet Connections
Excel sheet connections store specific sheets of Excel files uploaded to Port as Compass records in the Compass module.
When an Excel data source added in the Port module is selected, a sheet selection screen opens in Compass. The desired sheet is selected and stored as a Compass record; the saved sheet connection can then be transformed into table, chart, or KPI widgets in the Cartography module.
Naming
For Excel, no query is written in Compass — instead a sheet is selected from the uploaded file. That is why the action name in this module is "Sheet Selection" / "Edit Sheet".

Sheet Structure Change Warning
If the sheet name or column structure changes after the Excel file is updated, Compass records and Cartography charts dependent on this sheet may break. Review dependent records and charts after structural changes.
