Dashboard Setup
This section covers creating Atlas dashboards, placing widgets on the V2 proportional grid, and understanding behavior across different screen sizes. For sharing and embed operations see Share & Embed.
Operations
| Operation | Description | Page |
|---|---|---|
| Create Dashboard | New Atlas dashboard setup — title, background, canvas | Create Dashboard |
| Widget Placement | Add, drag, and resize widgets on the V2 proportional grid | Widget Placement |
| Responsive Behavior | Auto-scaling logic across different screens and devices | Responsive Behavior |
Typical Flow
- Create Dashboard — Enter title, description, background color; an empty V2 canvas opens.
- Widget Placement — Pick Cartography widgets from the Add Widget dialog and place them.
- Responsive Behavior — Test at different sizes with browser DevTools.
Difference From V1
Horizon V1 uses a fixed pixel grid; Atlas V2 uses proportional coordinates (nx/ny/nw/nh). This means widget layout auto-scales across different screens.
