Move Compass Record / Folder
This page describes how to move a record (SQL query, MQTT topic, REST endpoint, Excel sheet) or folder to a different location in the Pirivision Compass module via the Move action.
The move operation is used to organize Compass records in folders by project, plant, or system. Both records and folders can be moved.
Prerequisite
At least one record or folder must exist in the Compass list. The destination folder you want to move to must also already exist.
1. Find the Item in the Compass List
Click Compass in the left menu. Locate the record or folder you want to move.
2. Open the More Menu
Click the More (three dots) button on the right side of the card.
Click Move in the menu.
3. Select the Target Folder
The move dialog opens. The full Compass folder tree is shown.

| Select Root | Move the record to the Compass root directory |
4. Move Completes
After the destination folder is selected, the move happens immediately. There is no confirmation dialog.
The moved record appears inside the destination folder.

Moving Folders
Folders can be moved like Compass records. Use the More → Move menu of the folder; it moves with all the records inside.
